- FeltBuster® – This is a non-asphaltic polypropylene roofing underlayment that resists tearing and will not become brittle or absorb moisture. It also has a special spunbound surface that provides better traction compared with traditional asphalt felts. Like the rest of GAF’s roof deck protection products, it also lies flatter than typical felts.
- Deck-Armor™ – This is a breathable, UV-stabilized polypropylene underlayment. It is exceptionally strong and quicker to install than traditional wide felt because it provides up to 50% more coverage per course. As an experienced residential roofing services provider, we also like this product because it can resist UV degradation.
- Tiger Paw™ – This premium underlayment is also UV stabilized. It will not rot or become brittle like conventional felt and it has seven-times greater tear strength resistance than the standard. It also has excellent walkability.
- Shingle-Mate® – This roof deck protection product is fiberglass reinforced so it lies flatter than ordinary felt. It also provides better protection because it eliminates the need to slit bubbled felt. Slitting bubbled felt may be required if you use a typical organic felt underlayment.
- VersaShield® – This is another fiberglass-reinforced product. It is specially designed to improve your roof’s fire resistance. It can protect against the spread of fire, upgrading the UL fire classification of almost any kind of roof.
